Ammon F1

Ammon F1 cabbage is a late hybrid of white cabbage, developed by the Dutch seed company Seminis. The vegetation period is 125-135 days from transplanting seedlings. Heads are round or round-oval, dense, weighing 4-6 kg, gray-green in color with thin leaves and short stalks. This hybrid is intended for fresh consumption, processing, particularly pickling, as well as for long-term storage up to 12 months, making it versatile and convenient for various purposes.

Ammon F1 is characterized by high yield and marketability, reaching 90-95%, as well as excellent field storage and good transportability. The plant is resistant to Fusarium wilt (race 1) and tolerant to thrips infestation, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss. The hybrid is cold-tolerant but requires adequate soil moisture and regular fertilization, watering, and loosening to achieve maximum productivity.

For cultivation, seedlings are recommended: seeds are sown in March-April in greenhouses or polytunnels, and seedlings are transplanted into open ground at the end of April - beginning of May, depending on weather conditions. The optimal planting scheme is 60x60 cm with a density of 33-38 thousand plants per hectare; however, a denser arrangement can be used to reduce head weight. In plastic greenhouses, an earlier harvest can be obtained and the yield of marketable product can be increased to 95%. This approach allows effective use of the hybrid in various climatic conditions and agrotechnical systems.
