Adona F1

The Adona F1 eggplant is an early-maturing hybrid developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan and approved for use in the Russian Federation since 1996. The maturation period varies depending on growing conditions: from 55–60 days after transplanting seedlings into greenhouses to 90–130 days from germination in open ground. Plants are medium- to tall-growing, reaching heights of 50 to 85 cm, with highly branched bushes that bear 3 to 15 fruits.

The Adona F1 eggplant fruits have a dark purple color with a matte surface and various shapes — ranging from pear-shaped to cylindrical and banana-shaped. Fruit weight ranges from 110 to 150 grams. The flesh is dense, white or slightly yellowish-white, and free of bitterness, ensuring excellent taste qualities. Due to their density and structure, the fruits have good storability and transportability.

This hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases and cold tolerance, allowing cultivation under various climatic conditions. Yield ranges from 25 to 35 tons per hectare in open ground and up to 16–24 kg per square meter in greenhouses. Adona F1 is suitable both for fresh consumption and for canning, making it a versatile choice for gardeners and farmers.
