Perlina Sadu is an ultra-early kiwifruit variety that quickly attracts gardeners' attention with its ease of cultivation and high yield. The bush is a vigorous vine up to 10 m long; with proper care, it stably produces 12–15 kg of fruit per plant, with a mass of 15–18 g and a diameter of about 20 mm. The berries are dark green, round, have a thin translucent skin, and tender juicy flesh with a slight purple hue; the flavor combines a sweet-sour character with the aroma of apples, making them especially attractive for both fresh consumption and culinary processing.
The variety is distinguished by high frost resistance – it withstands temperatures down to -30 °C without the need for covering. It is practically not affected by diseases and pests, and also easily withstands transportation: berries remain intact even during prolonged movement and retain freshness in the refrigerator for more than two months. For full fruiting, it is necessary to plant at least two saplings of one variety – one male (for pollination) and one female.
Perlina Sadu prefers light places but can grow in semi-shade. The optimal soil is light, fertile; plants are better placed in a wind-protected place, near a fence or near a house. The vine is usually tied to supports, and pruning begins in spring after 3–4 years of growth. Thanks to the simplicity of care and early ripening period (second half of August), this variety becomes an excellent choice for both a home garden and small commercial plantations.
