Poppy seeds are a valuable natural raw material rich in plant oils (46-56%) and protein (about 20%). Due to their taste and aromatic properties, they are widely used in cooking: added to fillings for buns, pies, rolls, and other baked goods, and also used for producing oils that subsequently go into the composition of margarine.\n\nIn addition to culinary qualities, poppy seeds have useful properties for the skin. When ground, they yield a milk that effectively combats dark circles under the eyes and eyelid inflammation, and also serves as a skin care treatment in the form of a mask.\n\nThe shelf life of seeds is 12 months provided they are placed in a dry, well-ventilated room. Nutritional value per 100 g: 42 kcal, proteins – 0.8 g, fats – 1.1 g, carbohydrates – 0.9 g.
