Actinidia NIKITSKAYA ANNIVERSARY

Consistent Yields from Crimean Selection

Actinidia 'Nikitskaya Yubileynaya' is the result of years of research at the Nikitsky Botanical Gardens, aimed at adapting exotic crops to temperate climates. Unlike many introduced varieties, this cultivar shows remarkable resilience to temperature fluctuations, making it a favorite for growers who want to harvest fruits high in vitamin C without extreme maintenance efforts.

Agrotechnical Requirements

The key characteristic that every agronomist must account for is the dioecious flowering type. This implies that for successful fruit production, the presence of both female and male pollinator plants is strictly required in the orchard. The variety is demanding regarding light exposure and soil quality, favoring fertile, well-drained ground without water stagnation.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Advantages: High winter hardiness for a crop of this type, stable yields, and excellent fruit flavor, considered among the best in local breeding history.
• Challenges: The necessity for cross-pollination complicates planting layouts for small-scale garden owners. Furthermore, the vine requires sturdy trellising and regular formative pruning.

This variety is ideal for those seeking a balance between exotic appeal and reliability. 'Nikitskaya Yubileynaya' is a choice for professionals and experienced hobbyist gardeners prepared to build the necessary infrastructure—trellises and irrigation systems—to ensure regular harvests of these healthy, nutrient-dense fruits.
