The 'Krasunya' actinidia variety is a late-ripening plant obtained in 1986 at the Far Eastern Research Station VNDSR under the leadership of O.T. Slobodchikova. Bushes reach a height of 6 to 8 meters and have a bush-like shape with long lianas. Leaves are large, round, with a wedge-shaped base and a pointed top; they are thin, matte, bright green, and covered with fine hairs on the lower surface.
'Krasunya' fruits are of medium size (about 3–3.5 g) and have an elongated or oval shape with a light green color with a yellowish tint. The flesh is orange-orange, possessing a sour-sweet taste with a slight acidity and a strong aroma. Inside the fruit, there is a high level of vitamin C – 10–15 times more than in a lemon, as well as vitamins E and PP, which contribute to strengthening the immune system and accelerating metabolism.
The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness (up to -30 °C), resistance to diseases, and unpretentiousness in care. It is self-pollinating, but for more stable fruiting, planting near a male plant of the same species is recommended. The plant prefers sunny, sheltered places, moist, well-drained, and fertile soils. Yield is 2.5–3 kg per bush, and fruits can be used fresh (juice, compote, jam), as well as for confectionery, drinks, and even dried fruits.
