The primary pest of Nemesia is the spider mite, which thrives in conditions of low air humidity and high temperatures. If signs of infestation are detected, treatment with systemic insecto-acaricides is necessary.

Under high humidity and crowded planting conditions, plants may suffer from root rot. This fungal disease spreads rapidly and can lead to the death of the entire plant cluster if left untreated.

To prevent fungal development, it is important to maintain proper irrigation practices and avoid over-planting. Good aeration of the area significantly reduces the risk of these pathological processes.

Aphids can also infest the crop, feeding on the sap of young leaves and shoots. Controlling aphid populations involves the use of specialized systemic insecticides or localized application of soap solutions.

Disease prevention consists of practicing crop rotation and regular visual inspection of the plants. Timely removal of affected specimens helps prevent the widespread dispersal of pests and diseases across the entire planting area.
