Sunshine

Sunshine F1 is an early-maturing zucchini hybrid of yellow fruit type, which begins fruiting just 35-40 days after germination. The plant is of a bush type with an open form and shortened internodes, featuring dark green, highly lobed leaves with characteristic spotting. The fruits are cylindrical in shape, 16-22 cm long and 4-7 cm in diameter, rich yellow color with smooth, glossy skin without ridges. The flesh is white, dense, distinguished by excellent taste qualities and maintains an attractive appearance even when overgrown, without becoming tough.

The Sunshine F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as fusarium wilt, powdery mildew, and viral infections, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in open ground and under temporary shelters. The root system is active and develops well on various soil types, including compacted ones. A feature of the variety is a high concentration of female flowers, which ensures early and abundant yield.

For successful cultivation of the Sunshine zucchini, fertile loose soils are recommended, as the crop is light-loving and heat-loving. Sowing seeds can be done via seedlings in April or direct sowing in the ground at the end of May — beginning of June. Seedlings are planted according to a 60×60 cm scheme after the threat of frost. It is recommended to sow 2-3 seeds in one hole followed by removal of weak plants. Plant care includes regular watering, loosening of soil, and fertilization, with organic fertilizers being particularly effective.
