Zucchini HOUSEWIFE'S DREAM

A reliable harvest with minimal effort

For gardeners who value efficiency and consistent results, the "Mechta Khozyaiki" (Housewife's Dream) zucchini from the Sedek seed company is a logical choice. Developed by renowned breeders including Anatoly Lukyanenko, this variety balances high productivity with ease of cultivation. Its standout feature is its rapid maturation: the first harvests can be gathered just 40-45 days after germination.

Agronomic Strengths

• Disease Resistance: Unlike many standard varieties, "Mechta Khozyaiki" boasts enhanced immunity to anthracnose, powdery mildew, and various rot diseases—crucial for success in unpredictable weather or high-humidity conditions. It is particularly noted for its resistance to gray rot.
• Uniform Quality: The fruit features a consistent cylindrical shape, making it ideal for both culinary use and commercial sale. With a fruit weight between 200 and 500 grams, the flesh remains tender, and the skin stays thin and palatable.

Who is this variety for?

This zucchini is an excellent solution for home growers who want to minimize chemical inputs. Because of its genetically encoded resistance to major pathogens, you can significantly reduce the need for fungicides. However, it is important to note that to achieve consistent fruits near the 500-gram mark, the plants require steady irrigation and regular fertilization during the fruit-setting stage. If you are looking for a reliable, "workhorse" variety that delivers throughout the season, "Mechta Khozyaiki" lives up to its name perfectly.
