Calypso is a barley variety characterized by low beta-glucan content and average yield over two years in the Atlantic region. It features good winter hardiness, above average, as well as strong resistance to various diseases. The variety has an early vegetative period, which contributes to successful development and stable performance across all key agronomic parameters.
It is important not to confuse the barley variety Calypso with the insecticide Calypso, which is a systemic contact-stomach preparation based on thiocloprid (480 g/l). This insecticide is intended for combating a broad spectrum of pests on various crops, such as apple, potato, rapeseed, cherry, peach, and strawberry. It exhibits high resistance to rain wash-off and solar radiation, ensuring a prolonged protective effect and rapid knockdown effect due to its action on the nervous system of pests.
The insecticide Calypso is safe for bees and bumblebees, making it an environmentally acceptable plant protection product. The preparation mixes well with other insecticides and fungicides, expanding its application possibilities in integrated crop protection. The recommended application rate is from 0.1 to 0.35 l/ha depending on the crop, with a maximum of 1-2 applications per season.
