Wheat variety "Oksana" is certified pure grain with high germination rate (99%), intended for sprouting. This variety is not bread-making and has minimal gluten content, making it especially suitable for healthy eating. The grain contains significantly more digestible protein, vitamins, and microelements compared to modern wheat varieties.
The "Oksana" variety was developed through hybridization with wild grass, pirea, which resulted in the transfer of a small chromosomal fragment responsible for high levels of vitamins and microelements. This variety is not genetically modified and passed state trials from 2010 to 2013, after which it was officially registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine as a food wheat variety, not intended for bread-making.
Sprouting wheat "Oksana" at home is very simple: the grain is soaked in drinking water in ceramic or glass containers, rinsed twice daily, and once the sprouts reach 1-2 mm in length, the sprouted grain is ready for consumption. The recommended daily dose is two teaspoons, which can be added to salads, avoiding thermal processing to preserve all beneficial properties.
