Expert

The 'Expert' watermelon is a mid-early, high-yielding hybrid of Dutch selection, distinguished by both its early maturity and excellent taste qualities. The period from germination to the first harvest is 65 to 88 days depending on growing conditions. The plant is compact, with vines of medium length up to 1.5 meters, and produces few side shoots, which facilitates care and shaping. Hand pollination is recommended to increase fruit set in protected ground.

The 'Expert' watermelon fruits have a round or slightly oval shape with a smooth, thin, and brittle green rind with dark green stripes. Average fruit weight ranges from 2 to 7 kilograms, reaching up to 9 kilograms under favorable conditions. The flesh is bright red or pink-red, dense, crunchy, and juicy, with a small number of small seeds and high sugar content, giving the watermelon a rich sweet taste.

The hybrid is distinguished by high transportability and resistance to fusarium wilt, as well as tolerance to abiotic stress factors. Yield is over 6 kilograms per square meter at a planting density of 1 plant per 1-1.5 m² with formation on two vines. Due to its market and taste qualities, the 'Expert' watermelon maintains freshness and attractiveness for 20-25 days after harvest, making it an excellent choice for both home growing and commercial production.
