Tulip Preludium

Focus on Greenhouse Forcing and Cut Flower Production

The 'Preludium' tulip belongs to the Triumph class, making it a strategic asset for professional growers targeting the early spring market. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this variety is prized for its agronomic reliability and robust resistance profile, which significantly reduces management overhead in commercial greenhouses.

Disease Resistance and Production Efficiency

For large-scale operations, crop predictability is paramount. 'Preludium' shows strong innate resistance to common soil-borne and fungal pathogens that frequently jeopardize yields. By integrating this variety into your cycle, you minimize risks associated with:

• Sclerotinia (white mold), maintaining crop integrity even in high-humidity environments.
• Peronospora and phomopsis/phoma complex, ensuring healthy, vibrant foliage and sturdy stems.

Operational Scenarios

With its mid-season blooming window, 'Preludium' effectively bridges the gap between early and late cultivars, ensuring consistent supply. Its medium height and solid flower structure are specifically advantageous for automated packing lines and long-distance transport, where stem strength and petal durability are key to maintaining 'extra' grade classification.

Producers utilize 'Preludium' to streamline labor costs; the high uniformity of development allows for efficient, single-pass harvesting. If your goal is to reduce chemical dependency while maximizing high-quality, market-ready stems, this variety provides the structural and biological stability required for a successful season.
