Tulip Orange Jewel

Why Orange Jewel is a Professional’s Choice

Greigii tulips, such as Orange Jewel, are prized for their exceptional resilience to unpredictable spring weather. Unlike tall cultivars that often suffer from wind damage, this mid-height variety stands firm on a sturdy stem, complemented by broad foliage that is characteristic of the Greigii class.

Agricultural Immunity

The standout feature of Orange Jewel is its robust genetic resistance to several pathogens that typically plague intensive bulb cultivation. Breeders have achieved a high threshold of resistance against:

• Verticillium wilt and Fusarium wilt;
• Tobacco mosaic virus;
• Cladosporium.

This resistance makes it an excellent choice for growers looking to reduce fungicide applications without compromising visual impact or bulb health.

Optimal Use

Orange Jewel is an ideal asset for landscape design. Its intense, glowing orange hue creates a strong visual statement in mass plantings, flower borders, and front-line beds. With its mid-season bloom time, it serves as a perfect bridge between early botanical tulips and late-blooming hybrids. For those who prioritize a predictable, low-maintenance performance and vibrant color during the peak of spring, this variety is a reliable investment.
