Tulip Angel's Eyes

Late-Season Elegance

The 'Angel's Eyes' tulip is the quintessence of minimalism in the bulb world. Belonging to the Single Late class, this variety takes on the role of a grand finale for the spring garden display. While early and mid-season groups are fading, 'Angel's Eyes' is just opening its flawless white petals, extending the aesthetic appeal of your garden by another two to three weeks.

Why this variety stands out

The primary advantage of 'Angel's Eyes' is the exceptional purity of its color. Unlike many cultivars that tend to show pink or greenish streaks, this variety delivers an iconic, stark white tone. This makes it an indispensable tool for landscape designers working with monochrome borders or high-contrast garden compositions.

• Sturdy Architecture: Its medium height provides excellent resistance to lodging. This tulip remains upright and sturdy, even in windy conditions, eliminating the need for support stakes.
• Late-Blooming Schedule: A perfect choice for gardeners aiming to shift the peak of floral activity to the end of May.
• Versatility: Equally effective in mass garden plantings or as a cut flower. The dense, classic cup shape maintains its form in a vase for an impressive duration.

Is 'Angel's Eyes' right for your garden?

If you prefer a sophisticated, understated elegance over flashiness, this variety is an ideal choice. It fits perfectly into English cottage gardens, formal borders, or dedicated 'white gardens'. However, as with most Single Late tulips, proper soil drainage is crucial. Waterlogging in spring is a significant risk; on heavy clay soils, bulbs may rot, so mixing sand into the planting hole is a necessary step to ensure success.
