Tomato Ulyana is an early-maturing determinate variety prized for its low maintenance and high yield. The plant reaches a height of 40 to 60 cm, has a moderately branched bush with dense green foliage and simple inflorescences. To obtain an earlier harvest, it is recommended to form the bush into 1-3 stems, although pinching is not mandatory. When there are many fruits, it is advisable to tie the bushes to supports. Tomato grows well both in open ground and in greenhouses, preferring sunny areas with light, organic-rich soil. The fruits of tomato Ulyana are round, smooth or slightly ribbed at the base, medium-sized, weighing from 75 to 120 grams. In the ripening stage, they acquire a rich red-pink color, while in the unripe stage they have a light green color. The flesh is juicy, fleshy, with a classic tomato flavor and a small number of seeds. Tomatoes have a dense structure and are versatile: they are suitable for fresh salads, sauces, pasta, lecho, and also retain their taste and appearance well during whole-fruit conservation and pickling. The Ulyana variety has good resistance to bacterial spot, macrosporiosis, and blossom end rot, as well as moderate resistance to phytophthora. However, the plant is susceptible to mosaic virus and does not tolerate shade, so for planting, open, well-lit areas are chosen. Care for tomato is standard: regular watering, soil loosening, weed and pest control, as well as fertilization up to three times during the ripening period. The yield of marketable fruits reaches about 2.9 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for cultivation in private gardens.
