Tomato Torpeda

Designed for Processing and Logistics

The «Torpedo» tomato variety from NVP Agrovnedra is a strategic choice for growers focused on high-density production and industrial-grade quality. As a determinate variety, it optimizes field management by eliminating the need for complex staking systems, making it highly efficient for larger-scale operations.

Technical Advantages

• Early Maturity: With a growth cycle of 90–100 days, this variety ensures a quick return on investment and provides flexibility for multiple cropping cycles.
• Uniformity: The cylindrical fruit shape, weighing 60–80 grams, is ideal for automated processing lines and consistent batch packaging.
• Durability: The fruit's firm skin and dense flesh provide exceptional transportability, reducing losses during logistics and handling.

In open-field conditions, «Torpedo» demonstrates robust fruit set. Commercial growers prefer this variety due to the uniformity of the harvest, which makes sorting much faster and reduces operational costs. Its compactness allows for higher planting density, effectively maximizing yield per hectare when supported by efficient drip irrigation systems.

«Torpedo» is essentially a workhorse for farms supplying canning facilities. Its cylindrical shape is perfect for whole-fruit preservation, and the high dry matter content is highly valued by processing plants. This variety balances early harvest dates with the durability required for wholesale distribution.
