The tomato variety Sevance is a versatile and high-yielding variety developed by German breeders from Bayer AG and the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the NAS of Ukraine. This variety has a medium-late maturity period — from 107 to 112 days. It is a determinate type plant, strong and branched, reaching a height of 1.5–2.0 meters. Plants are trained into a single stem with spacing of 40×50 cm between plants, ensuring optimal conditions for growth and fruiting. Leaves are medium-sized, dark green, and inflorescences are simple. The variety is resistant to major solanaceous diseases, including ToMV, ToTV, Pf, Fol, For, Va, Vd, as well as to sclerotinia and fusarium, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Tomatoes of the Sevance variety are large, flat-round in shape, with a smooth surface, giving them an attractive appearance. The weight of one tomato varies from 150 to 400 grams depending on growing conditions. The flesh is a vibrant, rich red color, juicy, and low-seeded, with excellent taste and dietary properties. The fruits do not crack and retain green calyxes for a long time, contributing to their good storage quality and market appearance. Due to these characteristics, the tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption, processing into juice, and for pickling in barrels. The Sevance variety is recommended for cultivation both in greenhouses and in open fields, including various regions of Kazakhstan such as Almaty, Jambyl, Kyzylorda, Jetysu, and Turkestan regions. Cultivation can be done either by seedlings or direct sowing. For seedlings, seeds are sown at the beginning of the season, and transplanting into the ground is carried out in May–June when plants are 30–35 days old. Yield per plant reaches 5.0–5.5 kg, and per square meter — 8.8–9.3 kg, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation and home gardening.
