Tomato RED YOUNG HERO

Tomato "Red Young Hero" is a medium-maturing, high-yielding variety intended for cultivation in open ground and under temporary film coverings. The plant is determinate, reaching a height of 70 to 170 cm depending on growing conditions and agronomic practices. To achieve a high-quality yield, it requires staking and plant shaping, including pinching off suckers and topping, which promotes better fruit ripening and increases yield to 3.5–4.5 kg per plant. Seedlings are ready for transplanting after about 50–55 days, and the period from germination to flowering varies from 102 to 120 days. Tomato "Red Young Hero" fruits exhibit a variety of shapes and sizes: from glossy, plum-shaped fruits weighing 130–140 g to large, flat-round fruits weighing 400–500 g and more, with some specimens reaching up to 1 kg. They have dense flesh with elevated sugar content, providing excellent taste and a rich aroma. The fruits are bright red, low-seeded, and do not crack, making them ideal for fresh consumption, whole-fruit canning, and processing into tomato products including juices and salads. Due to their density and good transportability, the yield retains its qualities during transportation and storage. The variety possesses genetic resistance to the most damaging diseases, reducing the need for intensive plant protection and simplifying care. Cultivation can be performed either by seedling method or direct sowing into open or covered ground. "Red Young Hero" is valued for its high yield, versatility, and stable fruit quality, making it an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers seeking delicious and nutritious tomato harvests.
