Tomato FAVORITKA — a medium-early indeterminate variety, intended for cultivation in open ground using stakes or vertical supports. The plant has medium growth vigor, compact form, and good leaf coverage, forming one or two stems for optimal development. This variety is heat-loving and sun-loving, preferring light, fertile loamy soils enriched with organic fertilizers, as well as sunny spots protected from cold winds. For planting, it is recommended to use seedlings grown in nutrient-rich pots measuring 10x10 cm, sown in early March and transplanted to their permanent location in mid-May, following a 70x70 cm spacing scheme. To accelerate growth and increase yield, young plants can be temporarily covered with transparent plastic film until stable warmth arrives.
The fruits of tomato FAVORITKA are very large, weighing from 250 to 400 grams, round and slightly flattened in shape, with thin maroon skin and a slightly ribbed surface. The flesh is characterized by high meatiness, pleasant taste, and low seed content, making this variety especially attractive for fresh consumption. The vegetative period from germination to ripening is approximately 105–115 days.
The variety demonstrates high resistance to diseases such as cladosporiosis, fusarium, and viral infections, as well as heat tolerance and ability to withstand insufficient light. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to avoid crop rotation after potatoes, peppers, eggplants, and physalis, preferring predecessors from the legume, cucurbit, and root crop families. Regular application of mineral fertilizers promotes the formation of high-quality yield.
