Tomato Red Champion

Stability and Weight: Why Farmers Choose «Krasny Champion»

In the segment of indeterminate large-fruited tomatoes, the «Krasny Champion» variety from NVP Agrovnedrenie stands out for its reliability. In an unstable climate, it is critical to use planting material that remains consistent despite minor deviations in agronomic practices. This tomato shows excellent performance in greenhouses, demonstrating high yields even under intensive cultivation loads.

Agronomic Features

• Shape and Weight: Fruits reach impressive sizes (over 200 g), combining both round and heart-shaped forms. This versatility allows for success in both fresh produce markets and juice processing.
• Earliness: A growing period of up to 90 days classifies it as an early-maturing indeterminate variety, providing a distinct advantage in capturing the «first harvest» price premiums.
• Genetics: Developed by a breeding school focused on irrigated vegetable farming, the variety guarantees high adaptability to drip irrigation systems.

Pros and Cons

The main strength of the variety is the uniformity of the fruits. Unlike many hybrids prone to cracking under irregular watering, «Krasny Champion» maintains its shape well. However, like any indeterminate variety, it requires careful pruning and mandatory staking, as the heavy fruit clusters can damage the plant without proper support.

This tomato is an optimal choice for farms focused on high-quality, «meaty» fruits. It is forgiving of minor nutrient imbalances but reaches its full potential when paired with a systematic approach to crop protection against nightshade diseases.
