RED ARMY

Tomato 'Red Army' is a high-yielding early-maturing hybrid with a complex set of valuable agronomic traits. The plant is determinate, bushy, up to one meter tall, with short internodes. The bush forms 5-6 simple clusters, the first one forming above the fifth leaf, and subsequent ones every one or two leaves. Leaves are medium-sized, dark green, and inflorescences are simple. The peduncle is equipped with a joint, facilitating harvest. The fruits of tomato 'Red Army' have a round shape with a slightly ribbed surface, with an average fruit weight ranging from 160 to 180 grams. Immature fruits are green, while mature fruits develop a rich red color. Fruits are dense, firm, and have excellent taste, making them ideal for salad use. Due to their tough skin and dense flesh, the tomatoes have high marketability and withstand long-distance transport well, and can be stored for up to three weeks after harvest. The hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 21 kilograms per square meter, confirmed by successful cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers or in greenhouses. Moreover, the variety shows moderate resistance to pests and diseases such as southern nematode and phytophthora, simplifying care and increasing yield stability. Tomatoes 'Red Army' are versatile in use and suitable for various cultivation methods, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
