Tomato Pekonet F1 is an early, semi-determinant hybrid developed by Syngenta (Netherlands) for cultivation mainly in greenhouses. This hybrid features a super-early ripening period — the first fruits appear just 53-55 days after transplanting seedlings. The plant is medium-sized, compact, and well-balanced with short internodes, which facilitates care and bush formation. Pekonet F1 is resistant to several diseases, including Fusarium and Verticillium wilt, mosaic virus, and leaf spot disease, making it particularly resilient and productive even in adverse conditions. Bushes form 6-8 clusters with uniform fruits of round-oblong shape with a characteristic spout. The weight of one tomato varies from 170 to 250 grams; the fruits have a bright red color and dense skin, ensuring good transportability and an attractive appearance. Due to its taste qualities and aroma, tomatoes Pekonet F1 are in demand on the market for fresh produce. The plant has a powerful root system that promotes stable development and fruiting. Growing the hybrid is carried out by seedling method: seeds are sown in cassettes or boxes, and seedlings are transplanted into greenhouses before the flowering phase begins. Compactness and a small number of shoots simplify agrotechnics and make it possible to effectively form bushes. Pekonet F1 is suitable for cultivation in the first and second crop rotations, which expands its possibilities in greenhouse farming.
