MIRALAY tomato is a mid-season salad variety with large, flat-round fruits weighing about 200 grams. The fruits have a dense structure, slightly ribbed surface, and deep red color when ripe, while they are green when unripe. The flesh has a raspberry hue, giving it an attractive appearance and juicy flavor.
The plant is determinate and reaches a height of about 0.8 meters. The leaves are typical and slightly wrinkled. The variety was created based on hybrids Wilpena and Cherokee Purple and was released in 2015. Due to its high yield—up to 10.7 kg per square meter in greenhouse conditions—MIRALAY is suitable for cultivation in home and greenhouse settings.
A distinctive feature of this variety is its status under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI), which allows free seed distribution provided the original name and variety information are preserved. This makes MIRALAY an attractive choice for gardeners who value quality and open access to seed materials.
