MINUSINSKY BEAR

Tomato Minusinsky Bear is a medium-early, large-fruited variety created based on local amateur varieties from Minusinsk. The plant is strong and indeterminate, reaching up to 2 meters in open ground and up to 2.5 meters in greenhouses and plastic tunnels. Plants are recommended to be trained to 1-2 stems with regular removal of suckers for optimal load distribution and improved fruit set. Leaves are large, dark green with a matte surface and clearly defined veins. Inflorescences are complex, with a peduncle having a joint; the first fruiting cluster forms above the 8th-9th leaf, and subsequent clusters appear every two leaves, each cluster containing 5-6 large fruits. The fruits of tomato Minusinsky Bear are round with a neatly elongated tip at the apex, bright red in color with a small light spot near the stem. Average fruit weight is about 450 grams, with individual specimens reaching up to 1 kilogram. The skin is thin but dense, not noticeable during consumption. The flesh is juicy and meaty, with a small number of seeds located in 2-3 small seed chambers. The taste of the fruits is sweet and excellent, with a sugary aftertaste. Dry matter content in the fruits is 4-5%, contributing to good storage and transportability of the harvest. Variety Minusinsky Bear is characterized by high adaptability to harsh climatic conditions, capable of withstanding significant temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouse conditions. Due to its large fruits, excellent taste, and resistance to temperature changes, this tomato is popular among gardeners.
