Tomato MINOR

Built for Resilience: The Minor Tomato

When selecting seeds for challenging climates, the 'Minor' variety from the Central Siberian Botanical Garden (SB RAS) stands out as a practical, high-utility choice. Designed specifically for agricultural zones with short growing seasons and volatile temperature shifts, this tomato is built to minimize maintenance overhead while ensuring a reliable harvest.

Operational Efficiency

• Growth Habits: The plant is inherently compact, which streamlines canopy management and reduces the time spent on pruning and staking. It is well-suited for both greenhouse and open-field cultivation.
• Seed Performance: The material shows consistent germination rates, providing a predictable plant population from the start and reducing the need for re-seeding.
• Low Maintenance: The variety exhibits strong genetic resistance to environmental stressors, allowing growers to optimize their spray schedules and reduce fungicide expenditure.

For a professional grower, 'Minor' serves as a stable, low-risk asset. The fruit is firm, making it well-suited for transport and extended shelf life, which is essential for market-ready production. By choosing this variety, you are investing in a predictable cultivation cycle that minimizes management complexity while maintaining steady yields.
