Tomato Litcano F1 is a medium-early hybrid of plum type developed by the French breeding company Clause. The plant is compact, bushy, with a strong root system and abundant foliage, making it suitable for cultivation even on heavy soils. The vegetation period is approximately 75 days from transplanting seedlings or 115-120 days from sowing, ensuring a relatively quick harvest. The hybrid is resistant to verticillium wilt and fusarium, enhancing its reliability under various growing conditions.
The fruits of tomato Litcano F1 have an oval shape, weighing 70-80 grams, a deep red color, high dry matter content (5.2-5.5%), and a Brix sugar content of about 5.4-5.5%. The flesh is dense, succulent, and slightly sweet, making the tomatoes versatile for fresh consumption as well as for processing into juices, sauces, and paste. The fruits exhibit high resistance to cracking and lack green discoloration at the stem attachment point, improving their market appearance and quality.
The Litcano F1 hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouse conditions, including glasshouses. The plant demonstrates strong growth and uniformity of inflorescences, facilitating mechanized harvesting. The fruits detach easily from the stem, simplifying harvesting. Additionally, the hybrid shows high resistance to several diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus (ToMV), fusarium (Ff), verticillium (Fol), as well as intermediate resistance to powdery mildew (On). Thanks to these qualities, tomato Litcano F1 offers stable and high yields, good transportability, and a long storage life without loss of market appearance.
