Tomato HONEY DATE

Genetic Potential and Vegetation Features

The "Medoviy Finik" tomato from the "Geterozisnaya Selektsiya" brand is a specialized cultivar focused on producing small-fruited crops with high storage capability. A long vegetation period of 120–130 days classifies it as a mid-to-late season crop, which requires careful consideration of regional climatic conditions when planning planting in open or protected ground.

Fruit Morphology and Commercial Specifications

The key feature of this cultivar is its plum-like fruit shape, paired with an extremely small weight of up to 20 grams. This combination is driven by a dense pulp structure and high dry matter content, providing the following technological advantages:

• Transportability: The firm skin and internal fruit structure minimize the loss of commercial appearance during long-distance transport.
• Extended Shelf Life: The genetically programmed ability to maintain integrity for more than 30 days after harvest makes this cultivar suitable for an extended sales cycle.
• Consistency: The small size combined with high density makes "Medoviy Finik" an excellent choice for whole-fruit canning and culinary presentation.

Choosing seeds from "Geterozisnaya Selektsiya" is justified for operations where the priority is to obtain uniform produce capable of retaining quality characteristics without losing taste properties. The stability of the shape and color (rich red) simplifies the sorting process during batch packaging.
