Herdon F1

Tomato Herdon F1 is a mid-late maturing hybrid with a ripening period of about 105 days. The plant is determinate, medium-height, does not require pinching or vertical support, which simplifies care and cultivation. The fruits have a characteristic pear shape and average weight of about 85 grams, distinguished by high uniformity and density, ensuring an attractive market appearance and ease of processing.

A feature of this variety is the excellent coloration of the fruits both externally and internally, making them in demand not only for industrial processing, including production of dried tomatoes, but also for sale of fresh produce on the market. Ripe fruits remain on the plant for a long time, increasing their storage period and reducing losses during harvest.

Herdon F1 exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases and pests, including tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), verticillium and fusarium wilt (races 1 and 2), as well as nematodes. Seeds are sown in peat mixture at a temperature of 22–25°С, weight of 1000 seeds ranges from 2 to 3 grams, and there are 300 to 330 seeds per gram. This tomato is ideal for industrial cultivation and processing due to its qualities and resistance.
