Tomato Foundation

The Dutch Standard for Large-Fruited Tomatoes

Foundation tomato from Nunhems is the solution for those seeking the perfect balance between market appeal and quality. Developed in the Netherlands, this indeterminate hybrid has established itself as one of the most reliable tools for professional greenhouse production over its years on the market.

Agronomic Performance

• Maturation: 90–100 days from transplanting.
• Plant Type: Indeterminate hybrid.
• Fruit Weight: 200+ grams.
• Color: Vibrant orange.
• Yield: 70–100 tons per hectare.

The key strength of Foundation is its consistency. In protected cultivation environments, the plant exhibits vigorous growth and excellent fruit set even under fluctuating temperatures. The fruits feature a uniform shape and an attractive color, making them highly sought after in the premium vegetable segment.

Commercial Value

One of the persistent challenges with large-fruited tomatoes has always been transportation. Foundation successfully overcomes this barrier; the fruits possess a firm structure that maintains marketability even when shipped over long distances. This makes the hybrid an ideal choice for farms aiming to supply large retail chains.

Choosing Foundation is an investment in predictable outcomes. The seed material from Nunhems guarantees high germination rates and uniform crop development, which is critical for planning harvest cycles. This variety is perfect for professionals who value efficiency and consistent yields of high-quality produce.
