Tomato Fletcher is an early-maturing determinate hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic covers. The plant reaches a height of 1.0 to 1.3 meters and is characterized by rapid green mass growth, requiring timely removal of suckers. Leaves are medium-sized, dark green, and standard in shape. Flowers are simple, promoting fruit formation in clusters of 2–4 fruits.
Tomato Fletcher fruits have a flat-round shape with a ribbed surface and are deep red when ripe. Fruit weight varies from 150 to 220 grams, covered with a dense skin, ensuring good storage and transportability. The flesh is dense, juicy, and has a slightly sweet taste. Inside the fruit are 4 to 8 seed chambers. Due to its qualities, this variety is widely used for salad preparation, canning, as well as for producing tomato juice and paste.
The hybrid is resistant to nematodes, verticillium wilt, and fusarium wilt, enhancing its reliability in cultivation under various climatic conditions. Marketable yield is approximately 3.2 kg per square meter. It is recommended to grow this variety in southern regions of Russia in open ground, and in the middle belt under plastic covers, enabling a stable and high-quality harvest.
