FLAG

The Flag tomato is an ultra-early and high-yielding variety developed by Siberian breeders for cultivation in open fields and greenhouse plastic tunnels. The plant is determinate, reaching a height of up to 1 meter in open ground and up to 1.45 meters in greenhouses. Each stem forms approximately five flower clusters, each containing 7-8 fruits. The fruits are round with a small tip at the top, bright red in color, and weigh up to 150 grams. Tomatoes are characterized by a sweet taste, dense flesh, and resistance to cracking, making them ideal for pickling, canning, and fresh consumption. The Flag variety is valued for its excellent appearance, good storability, and transportability of fruits. Yield reaches up to 5.5 kg per square meter, enabling early and abundant harvests. The plant responds well to regular watering and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers, and requires cultivation on two stems with mandatory staking and pinching. To improve fruit set in greenhouses, regular shaking of trellises and ventilation are recommended. Seed sowing for seedlings should be conducted 50-60 days before transplanting into the ground at an optimal germination temperature of 23-25°C. When transplanting into the ground, it is recommended to plant three plants per square meter. Due to its characteristics, the Flag variety is suitable for both home cultivation and commercial production, providing gardeners with an early, flavorful, and high-quality tomato harvest.
