Tomato Dominator

Priority on Large Fruit Size and Phytosanitary Reliability

The 'Dominator' tomato is engineered for growers aiming to produce high-quality fruits weighing over 200 grams while minimizing the risks of fungal disease outbreaks. Its semi-determinate growth habit allows for a balanced distribution of energy between vegetative growth and fruit set, making it a reliable performer in poly-tunnel environments.

Cultivation Strategy

The core advantage of this variety is its genetic resistance to brown leaf mold (Cladosporium) and tolerance to Mycosphaerella leaf spot. In greenhouse conditions, where humidity control is challenging, 'Dominator' helps reduce the frequency and intensity of fungicide applications.

• Training and Pruning: Being semi-determinate, the plant requires proper staking and regular suckering. Training to one or two stems is the optimal approach to maximize the weight and caliber of the fruit.
• Nutrient Management: The plant responds efficiently to potassium-based fertilizers during the fruit-filling stage, ensuring fruits reach their 200g+ potential without pericarp cracking.
• Market Appeal: The vibrant red color combined with firm skin quality ensures excellent post-harvest shelf life and ease of transport for supply chains.

Developed by the Gavrish breeding team and the All-Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Breeding (VNIIISSOK), these seeds are aimed at producers who prioritize predictable harvest yields and high commercial quality. It is a robust option for those looking to lower input costs associated with intensive disease management while maintaining market-leading fruit size.
