The «Ugolek» Tomato: Proven Quality from Agrofirma Aelita

The «Ugolek» variety represents a significant achievement in the breeding program of Agrofirma Aelita. Developed by experts Vladimir Kachaynik, Mikhail Gulkin, and Svetlana Matyunina, this indeterminate tomato has established itself as a reliable choice for mid-season cultivation. With a maturity period of 100 to 120 days, it is well-suited for both greenhouse conditions and open-field farming in temperate climates.

Agronomic Strengths and Disease Resistance

The standout feature of the «Ugolek» variety is its impressive yield potential, which can reach 70–100 tons per hectare. Furthermore, it possesses vital resistance to late blight (Phytophthora) and is effective against Cladosporium. This robust immunity significantly reduces the need for heavy chemical intervention, making it an excellent candidate for sustainable and high-efficiency agricultural operations.

Fruit Characteristics

The fruits are classic in shape and range in weight from 60 to 80 grams. Their striking appearance—a blend of deep red and dark brown tones—sets them apart in the market. Due to their uniform size and firm texture, they are highly regarded for whole-fruit canning, where they retain both structural integrity and rich flavor.
