CASPIAN

The tomato variety Caspian is a medium-early indeterminate type, characterized by high yield and ease of cultivation. Plants can reach heights from 53 cm to 1.8 m depending on growing conditions and plant training. For optimal results, it is recommended to support the plants on stakes, pinch off suckers, and train them into two stems. Suitable for both open ground and greenhouse cultivation, this variety demonstrates good fruit set even in cool summers. The Caspian tomato fruits are round or slightly flattened, and they are large in size. Fruit weight varies from 85–91 g to 300–500 g, with some specimens reaching up to 1 kg. Fruit color ranges from deep red to delicate pink, and the flesh is notably sweet and aromatic. The fruits are resistant to cracking, have excellent flavor, and are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for making juices and sauces. Developed by the All-Russian Research Institute of Irrigated Vegetable and Melon Cultivation, this variety is recommended for cultivation in the Lower Volga region. Due to its good transportability and adaptability to various growing conditions, this tomato is popular among both amateurs and professionals. Its robust plants and large, aromatic fruits make it a versatile choice for various climates and uses.
