Tomato Capeia — this is a medium-early indeterminate variety of Romanian selection, characterized by high yield and vigorous plant growth, reaching up to 2 meters in height. The plant forms fan-shaped clusters with 6-8 fruits, ensuring abundant fruiting. The ripening period is approximately 110-120 days after germination, with the first fruits appearing as early as 80 days after transplanting.
The fruits of tomato Capeia have an elongated shape, resembling the sweet pepper Capeia, and a rich red color. The weight of one fruit reaches about 150 grams. The flesh is very meaty, with minimal seeds, making it exceptionally juicy and aromatic. The tomatoes have a rich flavor with traditional Romanian notes, making them versatile in culinary use.
This variety is ideal for fresh consumption, salads, as well as for canning, pickling, drying, and making pasta and sauces. Due to its dense structure and rich juice, the fruits retain their flavor even after freezing and drying, becoming even more delicious. Capeia shows good resistance to diseases, simplifying care and enhancing yield stability.
