BALTIYSKY

Tomato Baltiysky — an early and high-yielding variety, intended for cultivation in small greenhouses and plastic-covered greenhouses. The plant is semi-determinate, non-stemmed, reaching a height of 100-120 cm. The fruits of this variety have a bright red color and a rounded-heart shape with a characteristic green spot at the stem attachment. Fruit weight varies from 90 to 150 grams, they are juicy, sweet, and have excellent taste qualities. The variety is characterized by uniform fruiting, resistance to adverse weather conditions and some diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the middle belt and northern regions.

Sowing seeds for seedlings is recommended in the third decade of March into moist, warmed to 20 degrees soil. Transplanting into open ground or under plastic cover is done after the end of spring frosts, usually at the beginning of June, with a density of 3-4 plants per square meter. For plant formation, two stems with seven clusters should be left, each cluster potentially bearing up to six fruits. Regular staking and pinching, as well as frequent watering every 5-7 days, soil loosening, and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers during fruit set and ripening are necessary.

The fruiting period of this variety is prolonged and lasts from late July to late August. Baltiysky tomatoes are distinguished by their dense texture, aroma, and good transportability, making them suitable for both household cooking and seasonal preservation. Due to its characteristics, this variety is popular among gardeners who value high quality and a stable yield.
