Tomato variety Alya is a medium-maturing, high-yielding industrial hybrid characterized by a vigorous plant with well-shading leaves. The period from full emergence to the beginning of ripening is 112-119 days. The plant is determinate, 90-110 cm tall, with high growth energy and simultaneous fruit ripening. Up to 30 fruits can ripen simultaneously on a cluster, ensuring an extended harvesting period.
The fruits of tomato Alya have a bright red color, uniform shape, and firm consistency. The average fruit weight is 100-105 grams, with rectangular shape, and the hybrid shows high sugar content on the Brix scale. Fruit set quality is retained even at high temperatures, making the hybrid resistant to stress conditions and various soil types. The hybrid is suitable for both mechanical and manual harvesting, expanding its application in agriculture.
Tomato Alya exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including phytophthora and viral infections, confirmed by HR resistance and intermediate IR resistance to several pathogens. Due to its characteristics, the hybrid is widely used for producing tomato paste, cubing, and open-field drying. Additionally, the fruits are suitable for home cooking, salad preparation, and decoration, as well as for children's and dietetic nutrition due to their thin skin and excellent taste.
