Tomato Obtskaya Rosa is a medium-early variety with a fruit maturation period of 105 to 115 days. This variety is characterized by high yield and versatile fruit use, suitable for fresh consumption as well as for making purée, juices, salads, and winter preserves. The fruits are large, weighing 190 to 270 grams, with dense flesh and a pleasant tomato flavor. The skin is pink, shiny, and elastic, providing resistance to cracking and maintaining market appearance during storage and transport. The tomato Obtskaya Rosa plants are determinate, strong, and well-developed, reaching heights of 1 to 1.5 meters. The plant is sturdy but requires mandatory staking due to the large number of heavy fruits to prevent stem breakage. The first flower cluster forms above the fifth leaf, and subsequent clusters appear every two to three leaves. The variety is low-maintenance, tolerates heat and cold well, and is adapted to growing on any soil type, making it suitable for both open ground and greenhouses. Cultivation of tomato Obtskaya Rosa begins with sowing seeds under glass or plastic cover in March. After the appearance of two true leaves, seedlings are transplanted into individual containers, and by late May, they are transplanted to their permanent location. Regular watering and mineral fertilization are necessary for successful fruiting. Due to its resistance to adverse conditions and high yield of up to 6 kg per plant, the Obtskaya Rosa variety is popular among both hobbyists and industrial producers.
