VICTORIA is a high-yielding mid-early hybrid of sweet corn for universal purposes, designed for growing both for grain and silage. It is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 15.5 tons per hectare, and has a yield potential from 122 kg/ha in the Steppe to 155 kg/ha in the Polesie. Plants reach a height of about 260 cm, have 18-20 rows of zeiform grain, and the maturation period belongs to the mid-early type. The hybrid is distinguished by the fact that it ripens "with a green leaf" and loses moisture naturally, which contributes to maintaining the quality of the crop. One of the key features of VICTORIA is its high resistance to adverse environmental factors, such as heat, drought, and cold. Especially, the hybrid demonstrates its drought resistance in the second half of the growing period, which ensures stable crop formation even in complex climatic conditions. In addition, the hybrid demonstrates good cold tolerance and initial growth, which allows sowing seeds upon soil warming to +10-12°C, thereby providing optimal conditions for plant development. VICTORIA responds well to the application of increased doses of fertilizers and improved agronomic conditions, which makes it suitable for intensive growing technologies in various regions, including Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. The recommended density of plants before harvest varies depending on the region: from 35-40 thousand plants per hectare in the South Steppe to 70-80 thousand in Polesie. Thanks to its plasticity and adaptability, this hybrid ensures stable and high yields, which makes it a profitable choice for agricultural producers.
