The winter rapeseed variety «UDACHA» belongs to the non-erucic acid type (00) and is characterized by a low glucosinolate content, making it particularly valuable for edible oil production. The plant reaches a height of about 138 cm, has a light-green leaf with moderate length and width, and a lemon-yellow flower with medium petal length and a pod without a beak.
The vegetative period is approximately 319 days: from full germination to early flowering — 240–250 days, and from full flowering to technical maturity — about 60 days. Winter hardiness is rated at 5 points, which allows growing «UDACHA» even in regions with harsh winters. The plant demonstrates good resistance to shattering and lodging (4.8 points each), as well as moderate drought tolerance (4.6–5 points).
The seeds of the variety weigh about 2.7–3.5 g per thousand pieces, and 97% of the seeds have a yellowish hue. Yield reaches 29.5–33.2 c/ha, while oil content in seeds ranges from 43.2–45.5%. Total oil yield is approximately 12 c/ha. The plant is resistant to root bacterial blight, alternaria, and downy mildew, has moderate resistance to phoma and blackleg, making it a reliable choice for commercial oilseed production.
