Sunflower Sudzok

Genetics for a Reliable Yield

Developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Institute of Plant Production (NAAS), this hybrid is a prime example of breeding focused on stability within the intensive farming conditions of Ukraine. Unlike many imported hybrids that require perfect conditions, this variety demonstrates remarkable adaptability to local agro-climatic stresses.

A Phytosanitary Barrier

The hybrid's main asset is its immunological profile. Its high resistance to downy mildew saves agronomists from unnecessary fungicide treatments during early growth stages, while its effective defense against powdery mildew ensures the foliage remains intact until the head matures. This is a critical factor in producing large, high-quality seeds.

Who Should Choose This Hybrid?

• Farms prioritizing large, black-seeded sunflower varieties, which are highly sought after in the processing industry.
• Producers operating in areas with high fungal infection pressure.
• Those seeking a balance between seed cost and real yield output, without paying a premium for expensive international brands.

The strength of this hybrid lies in its predictable growth. However, it is essential to note that to fully unlock its genetic potential, Sudzhok requires strict adherence to crop rotation and optimal sowing dates. It is not an "all-purpose" plastic hybrid, but a precise tool for professionals who know how to work with high-quality domestic seeds.
