SA 6896 A is a simple interlinear hybrid sunflower of intensive type, developed by selecting the most productive biotypes. It features uniform flowering and ripening, as well as high seed set even under adverse conditions. The hybrid is resistant to the parasitic plant — downy mildew, as well as to diseases such as false powdery mildew, fomopsis, fusarium, and dry rot. The vegetation period is approximately 115 days, classifying it as a medium-early variety. Yield potential reaches 43.7 c/ha, and oil content in the seeds varies from 50 to 52%.

SA 6896 A is intended for cultivation using the Granstar technology with herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, such as Express Sun and Sumo. This technology ensures effective control of broadleaf weeds, allowing plants to grow without competition. The hybrid is resistant to herbicide applications up to 50 g/ha, which does not restrict crop rotation. Due to its resistance to various races of downy mildew and diseases, as well as drought tolerance, SA 6896 A is suitable for cultivation throughout Ukraine.
