Sunflower hybrid AMPIR is a simple hybrid of the new generation, adapted to modern cultivation technologies such as ExpressSun®, No-till and Mini-till. It is characterized by high yield and good oil content, reaching 50-53%. The vegetation period is 112-119 days, corresponding to the medium-maturing group. Plants are strong, well-branched, with a height of about 162 cm and a flower head diameter of 22 cm. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 46 g, ensuring optimal parameters for mechanized sowing and harvest. Hybrid AMPIR has high resistance to lodging and tolerance to a wide range of diseases, including false powdery mildew, rust, sclerotinia, fomopsis, and fomosis. Special attention is given to resistance to downy mildew, including new aggressive strains (A-H), significantly increasing the reliability of cultivation under various climatic conditions. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates enhanced resistance to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, facilitating weed control and reducing protection costs. AMPIR is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, and West Siberian regions. The optimal plant stand density at harvest varies depending on soil moisture: 62-67 thousand per hectare in well-watered zones and 55-60 thousand per hectare in less watered zones. The hybrid responds well to high agronomic potential and starter fertilizers, allowing maximum yield potential to be realized, reaching up to 5.6 tons per hectare. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, AMPIR is a reliable choice for modern farmers.
