Kaliber — this is a hybrid of spring rape (Brassica napus var. napus) 00-type, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content, making it especially valuable for seed production and obtaining high-quality oil. The hybrid is included in the State Register in several regions of Russia, including the Northwestern, Central, Volgo-Vyat, Central Chernozem, Volga, and East Siberian regions. The vegetation period is approximately 91 days, the thousand-seed weight is 3.5 grams, and the oil content in seeds reaches 43.6%. Kaliber exhibits high resistance to lodging (5.0 points) and shattering (4.3 points), which helps preserve yield under adverse weather conditions. In Ukraine, Kaliber is recognized as one of the leading spring rape hybrids of NPZ-LEMBKE® selection due to its high genetic potential and yield, which reaches over 35 centners/ha in production fields and up to 40 centners/ha in demonstration trials. Plants of medium height (140–150 cm) with compact growth and abundant lateral stems ensure high productivity. The hybrid blooms and matures early, allowing effective use of agronomic practices and timely harvest. The thousand-seed weight of the Ukrainian selection is approximately 5 grams, indicating the size and quality of seed material. Kaliber also demonstrates high technological flexibility and selectivity to culture, enabling effective control over a wide range of annual and perennial dicot weeds, including problematic species such as sow thistle, ragweed, sunflower and rape ragwort, as well as suppressing common chickweed. Absence of restrictions in crop rotation and the possibility of herbicide application over a prolonged period ensure maximum potential of the crop and yield preservation. These qualities make Kaliber a reliable choice for modern farmers aiming for high yield and product quality.
