Sunflower LG50304

Field Performance and Adaptability

The LG50304 sunflower hybrid, introduced by Limagrain Europe and registered in Ukraine in 2026, is engineered to withstand the increasing volatility of modern agricultural environments. In the field, this hybrid exhibits remarkable plasticity, allowing it to manage water resources efficiently during critical growth stages. Its genetic profile is specifically optimized to mitigate heat stress during flowering and grain filling, ensuring consistent development even under high-temperature conditions.

Disease Resistance and Standability

Limagrain’s breeding program for LG50304 focuses on robust pathogen defense. The hybrid shows high tolerance to major races of downy mildew, which is essential for regions prone to high humidity during early development. Furthermore, the plant architecture features a strong, resilient stalk. This structural integrity ensures that the crop remains upright even when carrying heavy heads, significantly reducing lodging risks and harvest losses.

Cultivation Zones and Recommendations

Due to its ability to adapt to varying environmental stressors, LG50304 performs reliably across both the Steppe and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine. The hybrid responds well to varying plant densities, giving agronomists the flexibility to adjust seeding rates based on soil moisture availability. It represents a dependable choice for producers looking to secure stable yields in unpredictable climatic conditions.
