Sunflower ES YANIS

The ES Yanis sunflower hybrid is a mid-early, high-yielding variety developed for sustainable cultivation under various climatic conditions, including the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. The vegetation period is approximately 107-112 days, with flowering beginning around the 68th day. The plant reaches a height of about 165 cm, while the head diameter can reach up to 24 cm. The seeds are black, with approximately 150,000 pieces per package.

ES Yanis is distinguished by its high yield potential, reaching up to 5.2 tons per hectare, and a high oil content in the seeds—46-47%. The hybrid belongs to the Clearfield Plus segment and possesses resistance to the herbicide EuroLighting Plus, which allows for effective weed and phomopsis control, including 7 strains of dodder. Thanks to these characteristics, the hybrid is well adapted to dry conditions and stress factors, making it particularly valuable for regions with limited moisture.

Furthermore, ES Yanis demonstrates high resistance to a range of diseases, including phomopsis, head and stem sclerotinia, rust, and lodging. The resistance level to phomopsis is rated at 9 out of 10, while resistance to other diseases is around 8 points. Rapid development during the early growth stages and high disease tolerance ensure crop stability and product quality.
