Sunflower ED 311

Genetic Potential and Yield Stability

The ED 311 sunflower hybrid is a product of long-term collaboration between Russian breeders at the Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops, Ooo Aktiv Agro, and international R&D partners. The hybrid's three-line structure ensures exceptional uniformity across the field, which is critical for efficient mechanical harvesting and consistent seed filling.

Agronomic Protection and Technology

A key competitive advantage of the ED 311 model is its adaptation to the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system. This protection technology allows for effective weed control in the early growth stages, minimizing competition for moisture and nutrients. The built-in genetic resistance to major pathogens significantly reduces risks in regions with high disease pressure:

• Comprehensive resistance to various rots, including white rot and downy mildew.
• High tolerance to sunflower rust, phomopsis, and phoma.
• Strong resistance to powdery mildew, maintaining leaf health until physiological maturity.

The involvement of prominent patent holders, including «Elita Dona» and leading scientific institutes, underscores the high quality of the seed stock. By selecting ED 311, farmers gain a high-tech tool that bridges the gap between classic breeding traditions and the modern requirements of intensive agriculture.
