Soybean SG Eider

Austrian Genetics for Reliable Yields

SG Aider from Saatbau is a mid-ripening soybean variety that has firmly established itself in the portfolios of agricultural enterprises focused on high productivity and technical efficiency. Austrian breeding is renowned for its adaptability to variable climatic conditions, and this variety is no exception, showing excellent results both under sufficient moisture and during moderate dry spells.

Agronomic Profile and Potential

The vegetation period of SG Aider is 120-130 days, allowing the variety to maximize solar energy intake for robust bean formation. From a logistics standpoint, SG Aider stands out due to its balanced physical parameters:

• Plant height ranges from 90 to 100 cm, ensuring a dense canopy for optimal photosynthesis.
• The lowest pods are attached at a height of 14-16 cm. This is a crucial characteristic for minimizing harvest losses: low-cutting headers can pick up the entire yield without damaging the seeds or pulling excess soil into the hopper.

Saatbau incorporates high lodging and shattering resistance into its genetics. This makes SG Aider a convenient solution for large-scale operations where harvest schedules might be extended. The plant features a sturdy stem capable of supporting heavy loads, even under high-yield conditions.

Market Positioning

Choosing SG Aider means betting on proven European genetics. The variety is particularly sought after by farmers who value predictability. Unlike ultra-early varieties with limited yield potential, SG Aider performs at its peak on high-quality soils when proper cultivation technologies are followed. It fits seamlessly into Central and Eastern European crop rotations without requiring specific agrotechnical adjustments, making it a popular choice for both large corporate holdings and mid-sized family farms.
