NOUMEA

NOUMEA sunflower is a mid-season hybrid developed for intensive farming and cultivation using Clearfield® technology. It exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as Phomopsis, Phomoid, and white mold, as well as tolerance to Sclerotinia races A–E. Plant height reaches 150–170 cm, and seed oil content ranges from 50 to 52%, ensuring high profitability and stable yields.

The NOUMEA hybrid shows high selectivity to imidazolinone-class herbicides, particularly EuroLight and Euro-Land, enabling effective weed control without harming the crop. Seeds are treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection against pests and diseases during early growth stages. The hybrid demonstrates moderate initial growth energy and reveals its potential on fertile soils, especially with fertilizer and nutrient applications.

Recommended for cultivation throughout Ukraine, excluding extremely arid regions. Optimal planting density varies depending on soil moisture: 40–45 thousand plants per hectare under low moisture conditions, up to 50–60 thousand under adequate moisture. Due to its agronomic traits and high disease resistance, NOUMEA is one of the best and most popular sunflower hybrids for Clearfield® technology, ensuring stable and high yields.
